Annu Sible Prabhakar is an Associate Professor of Information Technology in the School of Information Technology at University of Cincinnati (UC). She is also a PhD Candidate in Informatics at Indiana University. Her research is at the intersection of Human Computer Interaction Design (HCI /D) and Health Informatics. Her research focuses on designing support interactions during life transitions. Currently, her research focuses on designing compassionate interactions between new mothers and their supporters during transition to motherhood. Her research has been presented at international conferences such as CHI (honorable mention award), pervasive health conference (Best paper award) and IEEE CHASE conference.
She is a recipient of George Barbour award (2013) for excellence in student faculty relations, a university-wide award and Golden Apple award for teaching excellence in School of Information Technology.
